I was delighted to be present for the official opening of the Collinstown Park Playground and the turning of the sod for the planned Teenspace by my colleague, Cllr Ed O’Brien, Mayor of South Dublin County Council.
I want to congratulate all members of the community who have fought hard for these facilities.
It is wonderful to see the constant buzz in the playground and the input of young people into the design of the Teenspace means that it will be a facility of which they can rightly be proud. These past few months have been very tough on our children and our young people and these facilities are great additions to the local community.
The opening of the North Clondalkin Library later this year will also be a great community facility, of which we can all be rightly proud.
